Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay is proud to announce Brigadier General Carol A. Timmons will be the 2013 Woman of Distinction for the northern part of the council. Brigadier General Timmons is the first woman to head the Delaware Air National Guard. As Assistant Adjutant General - Air, Delaware National Guard, she is responsible for providing trained, equipped and mission ready forces for federal mobilization and state emergency operations. General Timmons develops plans, programs and policies in support of Delaware’s C-130 Wing and is the liaison with major commands and the National Guard Bureau.
