2015 Mid-Shore Woman of Distinction, Audrey E. Scott
Audrey Scott has held leadership positions in countless community and civic organizations and has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including being named a Maryland Woman of Achievement. In 2007 she was inducted into the Maryland Women’s Hall of Fame. Significant accomplishments include serving for three terms as Mayor of Bowie, Maryland, becoming the first and only woman mayor of Maryland’s third largest city. Audrey served as Secretary, Maryland Department of Planning, as a member of Governor Robert L. Ehrlich’s Cabinet. Audrey recently retired from Chaney Enterprises where she served as General Manager of Land Planning.
